VectorSmith is an open-source Python library that enables developers to define vector database tools in YAML and expose them to LLMs through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It eliminates the need to write custom MCP servers and tool schemas for each vector database by handling the tool layer automatically. The library supports Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Chroma, and pgvector.
