System76 has introduced the Thelio Mira AI, a specialized Linux workstation designed to facilitate local AI development, including model fine-tuning, training, and inference. The hardware is engineered for high-performance workloads, featuring a liquid-cooled architecture and an option for dual NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell GPUs, which together provide a massive 192 GB of total GPU memory. Computational power is driven by AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs, with configurations supporting up to 16 cores. System memory is handled by up to 192 GB of dual-channel DDR5 RAM. For high-speed data throughput, the architecture includes two M.2 PCIe Gen5 NVMe slots and one M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe slot, though the PCIe Gen4 slot is subject to a conflict where it disables the PCIEX16(G4) slot if M.2_3 is utilized. Networking capabilities are robust, featuring dual 5GbE LAN ports and integrated Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4. The system is available with Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS using the COSMIC Desktop Environment, as well as Ubuntu 24.04 or 26.04 LTS. Built in Denver, Colorado, the chassis utilizes aluminum and stainless steel, powered by either 750W or 1000W 80+ Gold Certified SFX power supplies.
