Talorys is a self‑hosted personal AI assistant that runs entirely within a user’s free Cloudflare account. The installer, invoked with npx create-talorys@latest , requires Node 20.18+, authenticates via Wrangler’s OAuth flow (or an API token with Workers, Pages, Workers AI and Account Settings permissions), and creates a private Worker and a Cloudflare Pages frontend. The Worker is a Hono‑based API backed by a SQLite‑enabled Durable Object named talorys-<id>-agent that stores conversations, memories, tasks, notes, projects, automations, sessions, settings and usage metrics. A Pages Function forwards /api/* requests to the Worker over a service binding, ensuring the Worker has no public URL. Chat responses stream as Server‑Sent Events using the Workers AI model @cf/zai-org/glm-4.7-flash with streaming and tool‑calling support; reminders and schedules are implemented via Durable Object alarms. The installer hashes the owner password locally with PBKDF2‑SHA256 and stores it as a Cloudflare secret, generates a 256‑bit session secret, and derives unique resource names ( talorys-<id>-agent and talorys-<id>-web ). Free‑plan quotas apply to Workers AI Neuron usage; when exhausted the chat shows a clear message and resumes after the daily reset, while all non‑AI features remain functional. Adjustable AI guardrails (max output/context tokens, tool calls, daily AI requests, scheduled AI runs) are exposed in Settings → AI. Data can be backed up or restored as JSON, and the installer supports idempotent re‑runs, password reset, updates and health checks via doctor . No telemetry or developer‑side data collection is performed.
