RemoveMacAI is a macOS 27 utility designed to disable Apple Intelligence features and delete associated on-device AI models. The tool uses a script (via curl) or Homebrew to execute actions: it verifies SHA-256 checksums of releases built through GitHub Actions with build provenance attestation, then removes models linked to Siri, Writing Tools, Genmoji, Image Playground, ChatGPT extension, and predictive features in Mail, Messages, Safari, Notes, notifications, and Xcode. Models for Spatial Photos, Photos Clean Up, and image generation are also deleted via Apple's asset service without modifying /System files directly. A configuration profile applies Apple's restriction keys to disable features and blocks model redownloads by redirecting them to a local port. Commands include `removemacai off` to disable features, `removemacai status` to display model sizes, and `removemacai revert` to restore settings. Dictation remains functional as its models are unaffected. Changes persist across macOS updates. The tool requires Apple Silicon, does not collect data, and supports macOS 27.0 and 27.0.1 (with version 0.2.3+). Earlier macOS versions are unsupported.
