This paper introduces Parallel Decoding Distillation to address the computational expense and optimization challenges of video diffusion and flow models. While current acceleration methods using variational score distillation often suffer from mode collapse and reduced motion diversity, this new approach aims to improve efficiency in image and video generation. The method seeks to provide a more stable alternative to existing adversarial loss-based distillation techniques.
