Filmwright is an open‑source MIT‑licensed tool that generates narrated product demo and explainer videos entirely on‑device, leveraging Qwen3‑TTS and Whisper on MLX for speech synthesis and lip‑synced animated characters, plus music and effects. Users describe the desired video in a short YAML file, and Filmwright automatically assembles screen recordings, voiceover, captions, and other elements into the final film. A 30‑second sample video demonstrating the tool’s output is included in the project’s README.
