CC Switch is a cross-platform desktop management application developed using Tauri 2 to unify the configuration of nine AI-powered coding tools, including Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok Build, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes, and MiniMax Code. Designed to eliminate the need for manual editing of JSON, TOML, or .env files, the tool provides a centralized visual interface to manage API providers, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and "Skills" via bidirectional synchronization. Key technical features include a local proxy capable of hot-switching, format conversion, auto-failover, circuit breaking, and provider health monitoring. For Claude Code specifically, the application supports hot-switching without requiring a terminal restart. The software utilizes a SQLite database with atomic writes to prevent configuration corruption and supports cloud synchronization via Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud, or WebDAV. Users can manage over 50 provider presets—including AWS Bedrock and NVIDIA NIM—and utilize a unified dashboard to track usage metrics such as requests, token consumption, and spending through trend charts and detailed logs. Additionally, the app features a Markdown editor for cross-app prompt synchronization and a workspace editor for managing agent files like AGENTS.md.
