Laya is an open-weight (Apache 2.0) “System 1” decision model from Convai Innovations, created by Nandakishor M as an open alternative to TypeSafe’s closed Jev API. It accepts a state (text, email, ticket, or JSON) together with typed questions—choice labels, ordinal scores, and noul yes/no probabilities—and returns answers for all in a single forward pass in about 33–40 ms on a GPU, eliminating the need for output parsing.
