Anthropic has internally deployed a model—referred to as “Model 2”—that outperforms its public release Mythos 5 by 12.5 percentage points on[@CoBench v2](https://www.cobench.ai/), a benchmark of historical AI R&D challenges. Despite its superior performance, Anthropic has confirmed no plans to release Model 2 to the public.
